Planting tomatoes for Dummies with Art Martello
Jerry Mahoney eagerly awaits the presentation

It can't get any simpler than this. Watch the video for the demonstration using 2 types of planters. It is as easy as putting a plant in a pot.

The photos below show the plant inserted through the hole in the tomato bag. The bag pictured above has 3 side holes in which 3 plants were placed (3 different types of tomato). the regular Topsy Turvy Planter has a hole in the bottom, but are planted the same way.
The plants is trimmed so that roots may develop along the stem and placed through the hole in the bag. then the split sponge is placed around the stem.
The sponge is inserted into the hole. Here you see the plant inside the bag. Soil is filled in to the level of the hole where the roots are being careful to not damage the stem.
Here the plant sticks through the hole on the outside of the bag.

Art and Jennie Liddle discus how he will keep all of the people coming to watch the demonstration from trampling his grass and plants.

There are many "Topsy Turvy" type planters on the market today. Some bear the brand name and some are variations. They all work the same way. The bottom line here is that they do indeed "Work". Try it, you'll like it!
